 The Age of Exploration

This unit was a chance to try many different methods and ideas to keep students engaged. Though the unit was primarily lecture, I tried different handouts (including giving them my own notes), I took away the chairs for one lesson, I had them get out of their chairs to go to war against each other (role-play) in another. It was a way to take them out of their comfort zone and introduce them to ideas that were not so Eurocentric and Americentric.
